RRC Board Member Nominations

ATTENTION ALL RIMROCKERS!

This is a very exciting time to become more involved with your Home Owners Association! We all know how much you LOVE our park and desire it to evolve and prosper for your future family generations to enjoy. Being an HOA Board member is a meaningful way to get involved and connect with like-minded owners who care about the park’s future. This service can be very rewarding while you gain a better understanding of how the park operates and how we can prepare for the park's future success.

We are seeking three candidates to fill upcoming vacant positions in May. This includes one incumbent who is willing to serve again if elected. The term for each position is three years.

In-person board meetings are usually held from March thru October each year. With your involvement you will be able to speak about what agenda items need to be discussed, review minutes from meetings, weigh in on issues that arise, help research solutions, and assist with pushing projects forward in a timely manner.

Our current areas of focus are our Reserve Study action items, including water tank, office, and tree replacements; marina and beach enhancements; architectural projects and compliance; event planning; upcoming 2024 budget considerations, and more.

If you have a passion for the park and are interested in running for the Board, please submit your bio to board@rimrockcove.com no later than APRIL 19TH. Remember to include your lot number!

If you would like more information please feel free to email the Board, or reach out to one of the current Board members personally. We would be delighted to answer any questions you have.

Let's work together to begin our next 50 years!

2023 Fishing Derby

Rimrock Cove HOA 2023 Memorial Fishing Derby Rules:

  1. The Rimrock Cove HOA Fishing Derby is closed to the general public. You must be an owner, family member, or guest of an owner. There are two divisions, the Open Division is open to all Anglers 15 and over & the Youth Division is for all Anglers 14 and under.

  2. The Derby will run on April 22, 2023, from 5:00 am until 2:00 pm. Weigh-ins will be open starting at 8:00 am.

  3. The Derby is free to enter. There is however an OPTIONAL cash prize offering for the “OPEN” division that requires a $10 donation per angler to qualify for the cash prize payout. 100% of the donations will be paid out after expenses to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers based on the size of the fish weighed in. Pay-out will be 50% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, and 20% to 3rd place. If an Open Division angler decides to enter and not make a donation, then they are not eligible for the prize money. They would still receive a trophy for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place finish. A smaller prize money package is intended for the Youth Division if donated funding allows.

  4. See the Derby chairperson for any clarification of rules or other event questions. Only Derby staff may weigh in fish. Make sure you weigh your fish BEFORE you clean it.

  5. A ceremony to hand out Trophies and Prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in the Open Division and Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the Youth Division will be held approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Derby, about 2:30 pm, at the Weigh-in Station. Prizes will be awarded to all Youth Division entrants based on the weight of the fish, from largest to smallest. If a Youth Division angler does not weigh in a fish, their name will still be entered in a random drawing for prizes. The Weigh-in Station will be located in the shop near the boat launch.

  6. All Anglers weighing in shall provide a single fish from their maximum catch of five for the day. If there is a tie for weight, length, and then girth will be used to determine a winner.

  7. All Anglers must register PRIOR to fishing. Registration will be open from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday night on the office deck, and from 8:00 to 9:00 am Saturday morning at the Weigh-in Station.

  8. Any YOUTH division anglers, Jim McKiernan, or Doug McKiernan, may receive assistance from an older Angler due to lack of experience or because of the Angler’s young age.

  9. All Anglers are required to know the fishing rules for Blue Lake and, if required, be properly licensed. Dept. of Fish & Wildlife officials WILL be in the area and you may be monitored or checked. Fines are quite hefty and citations have been given out in the past. By participating in this event you agree to abide by the above rules.

Thank you,
Rimrock Cove Board of Directors
