Bake Sale

Just a reminder that the Annual Bake Sale is May 26th (9 am - 12 pm) and we need your goods!!!

This year Marylin Malone, lot #613 (sheltieme1@yahoo.com) is heading up the sale and wants everyone to know that we need pies, cakes, cookies, prepared meals, etc. for the sale. Everyone is encouraged to bake and cook. As this is a great opportunity to make money for the kiddos. Plus, its great food and a heck of a lot of fun. So get those stoves and ovens going and those pots and pans rattlin'.

Also, I am accepting donations at the office for Fishing Derby prizes. Please feel free to drop them by anytime between 9-5 Friday - Tuesday.

Thanks,
Dixie

Grant County Property Setback Update

Hello Fellow Rimrockers!

Many of you have recently received a letter from Grant County Planning and/or the Treasurer's Office notifying you of a proposed Unified Development Code Amendment affecting our community.  If so, you may have found the language to be somewhat confusing, so I thought I'd provide a bit of clarification.  The UDC Amendment is something that we (the Rimrock Cove HOA) have requested.  Currently, the County's front setback requirement is 20 feet, which as you can imagine significantly limits our options on placing permitted structures on our small lots.  By comparison, the internal Rimrock Cove front setback requirement is only 10 feet.  With the cooperation and support of the Planning Department, Fire Marshall's office and the local Fire Chief, we have formally submitted an application to have Grant County reduce their requirement to 10 feet as well.  This has several benefits, with the most obvious being greater flexibility in utilizing our lots.  The change would also align the County's requirement with our own, as well as more accurately reflect current park usage (as most of us are already closer than 20 feet from the street).  Please note that nothing about this process affects existing structures.

We are very hopeful our request will be accepted and I've been told we should have a final decision by June.  However, if for some reason the application is denied, Rimrock will continue enforcing the 10-foot front setback for all new trailers, sheds, and other non-permitted structures.  I hope that helps.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to call or e-mail me.

Thanks!

Golf Cart Repair and Service

**Update**

If you made an appointment with Gary Harlow (with Zero Handicap), he has asked me to let you know that he has to cancel all appointments and any subsequent appointments as he has become unable to work any longer.

Thank You
Dixie
-------

Gary Harlow with Zero Handicap, the golf cart repair company that was here last year will be coming April 17th to make any repairs that may be needed.

He has asked that if you do need repairs, to call him in advance and make an appointment so he knows what parts and equipment to bring that day. His phone number is 509-470-7700. I don't think he will be taking any repairs that aren't scheduled for that day so make sure if you are in need of his services that you give him a call and get set up with an appointment.

Thanks,
Dixie
